I'm at the point where I confessed to Leandros but he told me that I'm like a little brother to him and that he'll resign. Is this supposed to happen regardless of my choices, or did I mess something up? If I changed my choices, would the outcome be different?

The payment is because that is the patreon build. Usually patreon is one build ahead of the free build but since there was such a gap it was released on both patreon and itch. Realistically the next build should be patreon only but if it does appear here at the same time it'd need a payment. But when the next build comes out the current leandros one should be made free to anyone.
May I point out that in Leandros and Ramos route you meet Jorgen, or Jaws as he likes to be called (More prominent in Leon route)
The shark is described as being "ugly" and "scary" even though he looks like the biggest hunk of them all. Dude is handsome, and I find it funny the game ignores it.
This is a beautiful game though have to admit it's not really holding my interest all that much, have found games that don't have a fully realised MC (so players can put themselves in that position) really don't connect with me (can totally get into a mythical world with beast men and magic and new trains, but I'd never be that lucky to hook up with any guy as hot as these three are, lol).
This one is not that bad, this MC at leas has some background, something. There are even worse cases where they have no personality, no background and nothing at all. They are there just to be the generic dude.

Honestly, i'm gonna have to make a save just so i can pick the option to run away with Koshiro in a future update, i've gotten to chapter 7 with all the characters and i'd say Koshiro's is my favorite and in my opinion the best, idk if it's just because it sort of cuts to the chase when it comes to pacing but it actually gives some insight unlike the others
like for example, who exactly Gaius was, that was a big one, also i kind of already figured it out after being murdered by Ramos and Leandros in the visions but finally confirming my suspicions that the blade really IS cursed and that using it would result in a possible bad ending, well..
I'm just glad i realised that in chapter 4 and not like, chapter 19 or something like 1 and a half years from now
overall though, i think Koshiro's path for me was strangely "immersive" like, for starters, i find it hard to believe that a large settlement like the one in Ramos path, a small village like in Leandros path, and Koroshi's village would all be on the same island or islands in the same general region
but i could definitely imagine Koshiro's village being on a small, isolated island, it would also add an extra bit of realism since it'd be easier to keep secret that way For some reason, i totally imagined the confrontation with Gin if Koshiro had given the MC a katana instead, an anime fight scene with the MC wearing a straw hat along with the kimono they're given earlier in the story honestly wouldn't be out of place, all the major characters have a stunning level of detail in their art, even Jorgen who (as far as i can tell) doesn't seem like he's gonna do much at all outside of Leandros' route, not including his brief appearence during the sea monster's attack and at the start of Ramos' route, i hope we get to see more of Jorgen or at least give him a good send-off
Something about the story's narrative voice just bores me and I find that it doesn't become as immersive later on into the story. I don't think the problem inherently lies in the 2nd POV, but rather how the voice shows the details in the story. In short, there is A LOT of 'telling' than 'showing'.
I find the lack of actions in between pieces of dialogue troublesome... and blank-ish for the lack of a better word.
Katan as a protagonist... he seems to be quite dichotomic as a character, but I digress.
That doesn't necessarily mean that I don't like the VN. I'he had quite the enjoyable experienc for the most part.
Edit: Actually I find the characterization of Ramos to sometimes not really make sense. At some point, I recall Katan saying that he plans to pawn off the sword his uncle and aunt gave him for money, but when Ramos asked to sell it, he's hesitant all of a sudden.
I also find that he's quite ignorant for a prince. Somehow, he barely knows anything about Farhoron. Isn't he supposed to at least know more about it than stories because he is taught all these sorts of things, otherwise he wouldn't really be a good prince, would he?
There were also some character inconsistencies like when Ramos declined some stuff such as sleeping in Renee's old child's bed because he didn't want to be indebted. I found it weird because he was the same person who didn't hesitate to take the money and find the booze.
There were also some errors in grammar, sometimes. This becomes further evident later into the story. While they aren't to the point that the text no longer becomes understandable, I find them to be a bother to my pedantic self.
Do you mean as on itch.io or just in general because if it's itch then it is still being updated but it takes some time for the game to be updated because of how detailed it is.
I am so into the Koshiro path but was so disappointed when I couldn't run away with him. I really hope that I will he able to pick this option soon. I can't lie, you've made me fall for him.
You are doing a great job with this game it really got my attention I played all three parts just to get a feel of the ending. I like each and every character but my favorite is Ramos. Keep up the fantastic work!!
No idea but I was really disappointed that you don't have any NSFW scene with Leandros. You have with Ramos and Koshiro but not him? And he got a full chapter of update :((((
I haven't played this game in years but Leandros did have one, I guess was removed when they got new artist for these current sprites, odd. their sex scenes was having sex with MC in a hut within some village I think, its been a while lol. their old character art when had the sex scene.
edit: forgot, they also had an even older sprite before this one. bulky like this one here but their face was very detailed more realistic looking lion head with piercing yellow eyes.
